MGIMO AI Centre - partner of the II International Contest of Generative AI-Films MyFilm48
From 7 to 8 December 2024, the II International Online AI-Film Competition MyFilm48 will take place, which will continue to build on the traditions established during its successful debut in May this year. This is an open competition of AI content-makers, held in an online format, designed to unlock the potential of artificial intelligence in creating innovative media content. After publishing a creative challenge, contestants have 48 hours to create original video content using neural networks. The challenge is to create not just a technically perfect project in a limited time, but also to demonstrate their creativity in completing the creative assignment.

This time MyFilm48 will expand the competition and publish creative assignments in five categories: film, animation, games, music and commercials. This will allow to cover a wide range of creative industries, creating conditions for cooperation between specialists and enthusiasts using AI-technologies in their projects and representatives of different industries. It is worth noting that this time the contest will be thematic, which will stimulate the development of generative AI technologies in the most important areas.

The organisers of the contest are proud to announce their partnership with leading players in the media industry. In particular, Riki Group, known for such popular animation projects as Smeshariki and Fixiki, will support the Film and Animation nominations.

‘Today we see that the use of artificial intelligence is inevitably growing. Digital technologies are gradually transforming the world around us, penetrating into different industries and business spheres. In the creative industries, the use of AI contributes to the emergence of new trends, helps generate ideas and optimises the work of specialists. The creative process itself is changing, with algorithms playing an increasingly important role. Keeping up with the times, we are carefully studying and analysing this trend. And, we watch with interest the active development of the AI content market in media production,’ said Ilya Popov, founder of Riki Group of Companies.

‘Game Industry Association’ will be a partner of the nomination “Games”. Studio ‘XOVP’, one of the leaders of virtual film production in Russia will again evaluate the innovativeness of the works of the contest authors.

‘In today's film production market, virtual technologies and artificial intelligence are equally tools for finding new non-standard solutions and for fulfilling specific technical tasks. For the second year we are happy to support the Myfilm48 project and see in it a huge potential and a significant contribution to the film industry as a whole,’ shared Yuri Yarushnikov, founder of XOVP studio. The list of partners will be replenished.

MyFilm48 opens its doors to participants in three categories: ‘Professionals’, ‘Students (Battle of the Universities)’ and ‘Enthusiasts’. This will allow both recognised masters of their craft and those just starting out in the world of AI content creation to take part in the competition.

‘We are excited to see how MyFilm48 continues to evolve and attract more talent from around the world,’ notes Pavel Peregudov, founder of the competition. - ‘Partnering with industry giants like Riki Group emphasises the importance of integrating AI technologies into creative industry processes and of course opens up new opportunities for participants.’
