Anna Abramova, Head of the MGIMO AI Centre and member of the UN High-Level Advisory Body on AI, has joined the experts of the new UN Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) working group on the implementation of AI in the context of public-private partnerships (PPPs) and infrastructure projects.
At the eighth session of the UNECE PPP Working Group, member states approved a new vector of work aimed at exploring the application of artificial intelligence in large-scale infrastructure initiatives.
Anna Abramova will participate in the preparation of a series of policy reviews that will highlight both the benefits and challenges of introducing AI in PPPs and infrastructure. The reviews will include analysing existing AI use cases, assessing the potential of this technology in predicting infrastructure needs, and reviewing data analysis tools. The publication of the first papers is planned for 2025-2026.
