Anna Abramova, Head of the MGIMO AI Centre, spoke at the session ‘Artificial Intelligence in the Service of Health’ at the Women for a Healthy Society forum
On 4 March 2025, the Digital Business Space (Moscow) hosted the thematic session ‘Artificial Intelligence in the Service of Health’, organised in the course of the II Forum ‘Women for a Healthy Society’ by the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation in cooperation with the Roscongress Foundation.

The event was attended by representatives of government authorities, the medical community and technology companies involved in the development of solutions in the field of digital healthcare. Speakers included:
  • Vadim Vankov - Deputy Minister of Health of the Russian Federation,
  • Alexander Gusev - Development Director of Webiomed,
  • Olga Beloglazova - Deputy Governor of the Lipetsk region,
  • Svetlana Samoylova - Head of the Scientific and Clinical Reference Centre ‘Russian Railways - Medicine’,
  • Anna Abramova - Head of the MGIMO AI Centre, member of the UN High-Level Advisory Body on AI.

In the course of the discussion, the participants discussed key areas of development of AI technologies in healthcare, including predictive analytics, personalised medicine, automation of diagnostics and treatment processes. Special attention was paid to the ethical and regulatory aspects of AI application, issues of trust on the part of the medical community and patients, as well as the impact of digital solutions on the organisation of medical care.

Speaking at the session, Anna Abramova spoke about how global vectors of regulation in the field of AI are shaping up and what are the current challenges being addressed by UN bodies, including WHO and UNESCO.
