On April 13th, the director of the Center for Artificial Intelligence, A.V. Abramova, participated in the annual international conference on AI technologies and big data management,
Data Fusion 2023.
The discussion was focused on ethical and regulatory aspects of data. The direction of international agendas in this field was presented, as well as the results of the first year of active implementation of the provisions of the national AI Ethics Code.
Experts outlined the risks and potential of AI technologies, data protection issues, and the functioning of recommendation algorithms. The discussion also touched on the topic of ChatGPT.
During the Q&A session, while discussing the potential of AI in education, A.V. Abramova, as the academic supervisor of the
"Artificial Intelligence" master's program, emphasized that AI systems should not be banned, but rather schools and universities should adapt and expand their programs to include studying and applying them in the educational process.
