The Artificial Intelligence Center participated in the "Humanities vs Sciences" Congress at MIPT (Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology) and presented a report titled "Artificial Intelligence in the Field of Culture: Ethical Challenges and Prospects of Technology Application" in the section "Artificial Intelligence in Humanities and Social Sciences," as well as a report titled "Legal Regulation and the Concept of Artificial Personality" within the round table "Humanitarian and Technical Aspects in the Artificial Personality Project."
On October 12th, in the report "Artificial Intelligence in the Field of Culture: Ethical Challenges and Prospects of Technology Application," a comprehensive contemporary analysis of the integration of AI into culture was presented, along with discussions about future trends and ethical challenges. Integration processes and the use of modern technologies at different stages of the cultural object's life cycle were demonstrated. The authors classified the existing AI technology stack in the field of culture and drew attention to future AI-related issues. The report was authored by the Center's director, Anna Abramova, research associate Anastasia Ryzhkova, and junior research associate Yulia Tserekh.
On October 14th, in the report "Legal Regulation and the Concept of Artificial Personality," junior research associate Maria Panova discussed the legal regulation aspects related to the concept of artificial personality. This included the notion of "artificial personality" and its incorporation into international and national legislation, legal regulation of interactions with artificial personalities, responsibility of artificial personalities, and the moral and ethical aspect and its legal regulation.
The International Congress "Humanities vs Sciences & the Knowledge Accelerating in Modern World: Parallels and Interaction," spanning 2022-2023, aims to create an environment for developing Science Art, facilitating cooperation between scientists, creators, and cultural and artistic figures, and exploring possibilities of open collaboration between them.
The main scientific project of the congress is the international conference "Humanities vs Sciences & the Knowledge Accelerating in Modern World: Parallels and Interaction," taking place from October 12th to 16th. The MGIMO AI Center is a partner of the conference.
