Events of the Center for Artificial Intelligence at MGIMO at the XIV RAMI Convention
On October 13th, as part of the XIV Convention of the Russian Association of International Studies (RAMI), the Center for Artificial Intelligence at MGIMO University organized two events: a panel discussion on "The Boundaries of Artificial Intelligence Application: Challenges for Humanity" and a roundtable on "Collaboration in Artificial Intelligence and Digital Business with the Middle East Countries."

During the session on "The Boundaries of Artificial Intelligence Application: Challenges for Humanity," invited experts and participants discussed the extensive penetration of AI-based technologies, new risks and challenges associated with AI. They addressed relevant topics related to how academic institutions perceive emerging trends in interdisciplinary approaches, including the implementation of pervasive digital technology within the next 20 years. The experts also discussed the horizon of creating strong artificial intelligence and its potential implications.

The session also delved into how the role of ethics is evolving in the field of artificial intelligence while ensuring a balance among societal, governmental, and business interests. What digital competencies should different generations possess? How can equal access to learning opportunities be ensured for all regions of Russia? What possibilities exist for optimal cooperation between business and academia in response to existing challenges and the utilization of AI-based technologies? Participants engaged in a lively discussion to seek answers to these and other questions.

The session was moderated by the Director of the Center for Artificial Intelligence, Head of the Department of Digital Economy and Artificial Intelligence at the ADV Group of Companies, Associate Professor at the Department of International Economic Organizations and World Economy named after N.N. Liventsev, A.V. Abramova. The session was conducted as part of the "Priority 2030" program.

During the roundtable discussion on "Collaboration in Artificial Intelligence and Digital Business with the Middle East Countries," participants explored trends in the digital economy and artificial intelligence within the Middle East countries. The level of digital technology integration into business and international collaboration for digitalization purposes was also discussed.
The RAMI Convention traditionally brings together around two thousand leading Russian and international scholars who discuss historical, socio-economic, political, and legal aspects of shaping a new world order. The Convention also hosted PriorityFest, a festival showcasing the best practices of participating universities in the state support program "Priority 2030."
