The report by expert Anastasia Ryzhkova is devoted to the trends of digital transformation of industries, including using artificial intelligence technologies based on the experience of Russia.
The digital transformation of industries is the course of the state, officially adopted in 2019 through the approval of a number of key regulatory acts aimed at the development of IT technologies, in–house software development, and stimulating demand for the introduction of domestic solutions.

In the paper, the author identifies 11 key industry-wide trends in digital business transformation, which include: strategic planning of digital transformation by the largest players; reorientation of the largest companies towards services and solutions from domestic vendors; changing the management structure of companies and introducing new management structures due to the penetration of digital technologies into the corporate activities of the largest market players; digital technologies as one of the key instruments of ESG policy and achieving sustainable development goals; the "openness" of company data is a key factor in digitalization and its consequence; the special attention of Russian industry leaders to business development through improving employee competencies; the introduction of such popular "end–to-end" digital technologies as artificial intelligence (AI), smart manufacturing and the Internet of Things (IoT); the beginning of the introduction of technologies and approaches to working with big data by the country's largest companies; the growing interest of the country's largest companies in ensuring information security; the development of technological innovations as a basis for maintaining and expanding business, regardless of the company's industry affiliation; the request of the largest companies to collect, process, and visualize large amounts of data in order to make managerial decisions in production management.
The expert also highlights industry-specific trends in such priority sectors as industry and trade (chemical and petrochemical industries, oil and gas industry, retail trade), agriculture, construction, transport and logistics, electric power industry.
