On March 5, the first international webinar in the series of meetings “Open Science and Artificial Intelligence: Ethical Issues” was attended by participants and experts from the CIS countries.
The event was organized by the Republican Center of Bioethics of the Belarusian State Medical University and the Institute of Philosophy of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.
The director of the MGIMO AI Centre, Anna, and the head of the Republican Center for Bioethics of the Belarusian State Medical University, doctoral student at the Institute of Philosophy of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Valeria Sokolchik, were invited to participate in the first seminar.
Anna Abramova made a report on the results of the work of the UN High-Level Advisory Body on Artificial Intelligence in 2023 (“Issues of forming global regulation of AI. UN Initiatives”).
An active discussion took place on the sufficiency of ethical regulation in shaping the conditions for the development of AI and ensuring the interests of society.
