Round table discussion on the presentation of the report ‘Assessing the Ethical Aspects of Artificial Intelligence in the Operations of Small and Medium-Sized Businesses’
On 18 November 2024, the MGIMO AI Centre held a round table dedicated to the presentation of the analytical report ‘Assessing the Ethical Aspects of Artificial Intelligence in SMEs’.
The purpose of the event was to summarise the research and discuss the results of a survey of Moscow-based SME IT companies, which was conducted by the MGIMO AI Centre. The survey covered key aspects of the role of ethics in the development and application of artificial intelligence technologies. The main objective of the survey was to determine the degree of significance of ethical standards for Russian companies working with AI.
The roundtable presented the results of the analysis, including statistics and trends identified in the survey. The participants discussed the key challenges related to the use of AI in the SME sector in Moscow and the Moscow region, the specifics of implementing AI technologies in business processes, as well as the problems and prospects of applying ethical standards. Special attention was paid to the development of practical recommendations for companies aimed at integrating ethical standards into projects using AI technologies.
