On 29 September 2025, the MGIMO Artificial Intelligence Centre took part in the annual conference “Artificial Societies and Information Technologies,” hosted by the Central Economics and Mathematics Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences (CEMI RAS).The Centre was represented by Oleg Gurov, PhD in Philosophy, Research Fellow at the MGIMO AI Centre and Associate Professor at the Faculty of Economics, Lomonosov Moscow State University. His talk was entitled “Generative AI and the Quality of Students’ Research Work: Experience from Academic Supervision.”
The presentation addressed the impact of generative models on students’ research projects, effective supervisory practices and academic integrity, as well as possible approaches to developing methodological guidelines for university programs.
