On 24 November 2025, Anna Abramova, Head of the MGIMO AI Centre and member of the working group of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) dedicated to the application of artificial intelligence in public-private partnerships (PPPs) and infrastructure projects, took part in the ninth session of the UNECE Working Party on PPP in Geneva. She participated as a panelist in the session titled “Harnessing the potential of artificial intelligence (AI) in Public-Private Partnerships and infrastructure projects”.
The
panel was devoted to how AI technologies can be utilised at all stages of the lifecycle of infrastructure and PPP projects — from project identification and planning to monitoring and reporting. Central topics of the discussion included improving the quality of decision-making, optimisation of stakeholder interactions, development of financial models, reduction of transaction costs, as well as challenges related to data confidentiality, ethics, and digital inequality.
