MGIMO AI Centre Takes Part in the 8th UNESCO International Conference in Khanty-Mansiysk
On 17-19 June, Khanty-Mansiysk is hosting the 17th International IT Forum with the participation of BRICS and SCO countries.
As part of the Forum, and within the framework of the implementation in Russia of UNESCO’s Intergovernmental Programme “Information for All”, the International Conference “Information and Communication in the Digital Era: Explicit and Implicit Impacts” was organized.

Anna Abramova, Director of the MGIMO AI Centre, spoke at the plenary session “Global Changes in Information and Communication in the Era of Artificial Intelligence” with a presentation titled “Artificial Intelligence in Creative Industries: Market Development Factors.”

The event focused on AI regulation, digital sovereignty, linguistic and cultural diversity, as well as the impact of generative AI on creative industries. The discussion brought together representatives of UNESCO, relevant government agencies, and experts from Russia, China, Pakistan, Italy, Ghana and other countries.
