Anna Abramova, Director of the MGIMO AI Centre, took part in the business conference "Artificial Intelligence for Business: from basics to implementation", which was held on February 17, 2024 in Moscow at the Central Business Space with the support of the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation.
Anna Abramova made a speech on "Shaping Approaches to International AI Regulation", during which she presented an interim report on the work of the UN Secretary General's High-Level Advisory Body on Artificial Intelligence.
The agenda of the event included AI trends for business and public authorities, prospects for implementation in the work of companies, economic sectors and social sphere. Emphasis was placed on technology: the use of robotics, drones, computer vision, speech recognition in industry and everyday activities.
More than a thousand participants gathered at the conference site: heads of corporations and companies (Sber, MTS, Gazprom, Dom.rf, Rosselkhozbank, Bank of Russia, MDG), representatives of federal and regional authorities, specialized associations, universities and research institutes, as well as investors and industry experts, including foreign guests.
