The report of expert Maria Panova is devoted to one of the main trends in improving the education system – the digitalization of education - in the member countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (hereinafter – EAEU): the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic and the Russian Federation.
In the paper, the author reviewed the general level of digitalization in the EAEU member states and key union documents ("The main directions for the implementation of the digital agenda of the Eurasian Economic Union until 2025", "Strategic Directions for the development of the Eurasian Economic Integration until 2025") and national documents on digitalization. Special attention is paid to the development of regulations, roadmaps, packages of measures and projects that are being implemented by federal governments and local ministries of education. The ministries of education of each country are responsible for developing and implementing policies and programs aimed at promoting the use of technology in education. A number of projects are also being implemented at the federal level aimed at combining the resources and experience of several countries in the region to achieve the common goal of modernizing education. The national projects focus on specific aspects of the digitalization of education, such as the development of digital curricula, online assessments, and the creation of distance learning programs.
The author notes that the goals of cooperation between the EAEU member states in the field of digitalization of education are the modernization of their educational systems and the formation of effective forms of relations in the field of education. The EAEU member states are jointly involved in the development of a common digital education strategy. The main areas of cooperation between the member countries also include the development of joint educational programs, joint research programs, the harmonization of educational systems and the development of a common framework for vocational education and training.
